Day 2 – Curse Las Vegas vs. Team EnVyUs at PAX East in the MLG Call of Duty Ghosts S1 Playoffs

After a long day of professional Call of Duty gameplay we had finally arrived at losers semi-finals. Curse Las Vegas had run the gauntlet after losing their first match on day 1. Their match to make top three would not be an easy one as they would play Team EnVyUs, who placed second at the Call of Duty Championship just two weeks ago. Once again Curse LV were the underdogs going into the final match of the day and they needed their strongest effort to advance passed Team EnVyUs. Game one was Domination on Strikezone, which was ultimately won by The Boys in Blue. EnVyUs took the 1-0 lead and went into the second map, which was Search and Destroy on Freight. This match unfortunately experienced technical difficulties and a map restart was enforced. Nevertheless, Curse LV made some excellent plays in the second map and were able to take their first win in the series to tie it at 1-1. Game three would be Blitz on Freight, which LV was able to win and gain the 2-1 lead over EnVyUs in the series. The final map would be Domination on Strikezone. Curse LV completed their upset over Team EnVyUs with a win in game 4 and effectively eliminated the COD Championship runner-ups from the Season One Playoffs.

Tomorrow’s action will include Complexity going up against Strictly Business in winners finals of the Season One Pro League Playoffs. The loser of that match will play against Curse LV in losers finals. Then grand finals will be contested and winner will be decided tomorrow at PAX East in Boston.
