Major League Gaming’s Executive Vice President Adam Apicella announced via Twitter earlier today that NetherRealm Studios’ latest fighting game title will be added to MLG’s Anaheim event. The addition of Injustice has been campaigned for by the game’s community via social media, and was teased by Apicella himself for the past few months. Injustice: Gods Among Us joins the likes of Super Smash Brothers: Melee, StarCraft II, and Call of Duty: Ghosts for the event’s lineup. Event passes have been flying off of the proverbial shelf for the other games included. Passes for Injustice have not gone on sale yet, however Apicella has stated on Twitter that the Injustice competition will cap out at 128 players, and will have a prize pool of $7,500. Mortal Kombat made a lengthy appearance on the MLG Pro Circuit in 2012. Expect the Injustice players to come out even stronger for MLG Anaheim as this is the opportunity of a lifetime for all who play the game at a competitive level. Stay tuned for more details as time ticks down toward the event. MLG Anaheim will take place from June 20-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Attached is a poll question; will Injustice reach the 128-player cap?
